Simple Souls

We are Simple Souls, an indie acoustic rock duo based in Troy, NY formed in 2008. We are an original band with songs ranging from folk to rock to blues. Our songs are melodic and soulful with lyrics that are reflective and contemplative. We write from the heart and we hold nothing back.

Katherine has been singing and writing songs since she could talk. “If I could give the world just one thing, it would be the gift of presence. Being present allows the space for struggles we face to fade because we are not focusing on things that happened in the past or worrying about the future. If our music can communicate the peace of the now, and help us to remember to embrace each moment, our songs will have given their gift.”
